Yaks may be used on the Halong valley section<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>From Xining:<\/strong> <strong>Driving<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 1:<\/strong> Arrive in Xining<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 2:<\/strong> Xining &#8211; Qinghai Lake &#8211; Chabcha (Acclimatization )<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 3: <\/strong>Chabcha &#8211; Ragya &#8211; Tsanag Khamdo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>From Xining:<\/strong> <strong>Flying <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 1:<\/strong> Arrive Xining or Chengdu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 2:<\/strong> China Eastern and Tibetan Airways fly Xining to Dawu (Chinese)\/Machen(Tibetan).  Machen is the largest City in the Golog Prefecture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 3:<\/strong> It is a two hour drive to the starting point at Tsanag Khamdo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"676\" src=\"https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/map.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-156\" srcset=\"https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/map.png 1080w, https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/map-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/map-1024x641.png 1024w, https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/map-768x481.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 4: Tsanag Khamdo &#8211; Yon Halong valley pass (trek &amp; Camp) (4900m)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our trek will start from Tsanag Khamdo, which is the trek start point from the east side of Mt Amne Machin. On the way to Yon Halong valley, we shall enjoy spectacular views of peaks of different mountains and native flora and fauna.\u00a0For this night, we will camp outside of the nomadic village of Yon Halong<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"360\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-182\" srcset=\"https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/1.png 360w, https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/1-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 5: Halong valley pass &#8211; Yi Halong valley (trek &amp; Camp ) (4000m)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On our way to Yi Halong-Chu Valley, we will cross over the Drakdar Pass (4700m). This vantage point reveals a beautiful vista of the ancient Rikhar Tongshang Glacier. After trek 8-10km, you will see a nomad summer camp around a sandy river bed, which is said to be a lake long time ago, but now its dried out of water, we will camp somewhere near the nomad camp site<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 6: Yi Halong (Car) &#8211; Tawo Zholma (trek) &#8211; Jomoyang ra (trek &amp; Camp) (4500m)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, you will be descending from the Yi Halong valley to the bottom of the glacier, and continuing to the end of the valley, it will take 3-4 hours. Afterwards we will drive to Tawo Zholma for lunch and continue to the start of the trek at Jomo Yangra<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 7: Jomo Yangra &#8211; Shari La &#8211; Goku Chenmo (trek &amp; camp )(4600m)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After breakfast we trek from&nbsp;Jomo Yangra to&nbsp;Gokuthang via Sharila pass.&nbsp;From Shari la, you will see the whole range of Mt Amne Machin and the majestic peaks.&nbsp;The route descends from Shari la pass and after crossing a bridge, you climb to Goku Chenmo.&nbsp;Gokufthang can be seen on the left hand side, which is said to be the entrance to the protector of Amne Machin Pomra palace. We finish the day at Guku Chenmo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 8: Goku Chenmo &#8211; Tamchok la pass (trek &amp; camp) (4700m)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the morning after breakfast we trek from Gokuthang\u00a0to\u00a0Tamchok La\u00a0via Rock valley. Tamchok means the perfect horse or the Hayagriva, a tantric deity shown with a horse head of flaming hair; the wrathful aspect of Buddha Amitabha. Rock valley is located around 10km from\u00a0Goku Chenmo. There are hundreds of stones piled up for worshiping the holy mountain by the pilgrims<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/7-1024x768.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-183\" style=\"width:339px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/7-1024x768.png 1024w, https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/7-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/7-768x576.png 768w, https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/7-1536x1152.png 1536w, https:\/\/amnemachin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/7.png 1706w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 9: Tamchok la pass &#8211; Tsanak Kamdo (trek) &#8211; (Car) Machen (3700m)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the morning\u00a0trek\u00a0from Tamchok La pass\u00a0via Dolma Bumdzong, after trek\u00a010\u00a0&#8211;\u00a012\u00a0km, you will pass Dolma Bumdzong, a secret place associated with Tara the Buddhist saviour-goddess.
